This rugged, large-capacity drawstring-top backpack is made of 3 ½- to 4-ounce cowhide and features a flap-over closure with a buckle and loop. Likewise, the three lower pocket pouches have smaller buckles and loops to fasten shut.  

All eight holes around the top edge for the leather drawstring are reinforced with grommets. Six-ounce belting leather is used for all four buckle-and-loop closures as well as the heavy-duty top handle and shoulder straps anchoring piece. This pack is unlined, but a deluxe version is lined with lightweight leather and features a long zipper pocket inside the back panel.
